Sleep and exercise teenagers

Hi everyone I hope your having a good day  and enjoy reading about what my class and I have been learning about in our health class with Whaea Raywen, Most teenagers eat really unhealthy food like candy, chips, salty foods and energy drinks when at our age we should be focusing more on eating things like all your greens if you eat meat or what how ever you get your iron and lots of water and making sure you have plenty of dairy each day. Sleeping is very important because we need it for our growing brain once your going through your teenage years that when you do your most growing so need a good night sleep and that means 10 hours or more of sleep and try not go on technology any  about an hour before your about to go to sleep. When we were watching our video two points that i really liked were that the more active you are the bigger your heart gets and grows because it needs to pump more blood around the body. And the second one is that you need at least 150 mins of exercise and active each week and every 10 mins count.

 Kia Ora Readers,

Today we are doing an experiment on cabbages.

1.3 pieces of cabbage.

2.Beaker

3.Set up Bunsen Burner.

4.50ml water.

5.Pipette.

6. Hydroxide Acid.

7. Test Tubes (5x).

8. Hydrochloric  Acid.

9. Test Tube (5x).

10.Paper towel.

11. Test Tube Rack.

12. Water.

Steps:

1.Chop up the red cabbage into small pieces. Place in a beaker and cover with a small amount of water.

2.Bring the solution to the boil using a Bunsen Burner and then turn off the heat. Let it sit to cool down.

3.Pour the cabbage water through a paper towel into a beaker. The dark purple liquid in the jar is the pH indicator liquid.

4.Suck up the indicator into a pipette.

5. In the test tube, use the cabbage indicator and the pH chart below to test the acidity of the hydrochloric acid and ammonium hydroxide.

Findings:

What is the pH of liquids?

Drama

In this photo its when we had to get into groups and make a short act and I worded with Akimano Mikhanya, Casey, Shanaya and Jhonas and we did it about two people at a restaurant.

This is when Miss Ayers read us a story called Maui and the fish and after we recreated some of the seances from the book.

This photo is when at one person at a time goes up and in the end we make on big object with all our body's taniwha and this is what the middle of the body looks like.

In this scene  my group is doing the first one from the book of when the four brothers went out to sea and Maui was hiding in the bottom of the waka
1. I think that our group worked quite well with our levels.
2. If I did this again I would think our group could work on keeping focus.
3.We did well with the levels because we have people standing some sitting and someone laying on the ground.
4.After we understood where we had to go for our next tableaw transitions it was much easier but sometimes we did have a bump into each other.

The chili pepper, from Nahuatl chīlli, is the berry-fruit of plants from the genus Capsicum which
are members of the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Chili peppers are widely used in many
cuisines as a spice to add pungent 'heat' to dishes.

  • Carolina Reaper 2,200,000
  • Trinidad Moruga Scorpion 2,009,231
  • 7 Pot Douglah 1,853,936
  • 7 Pot Primo 1,469,000
  • Trinidad Scorpion “Butch T” 1,463,700
  • Naga Viper 1,349,000

To see with is the best way to cool down the hot chilies taste in your mouth when eating chilli. I think that
by using milk sour cram and other dairy products I will be able to remove the hot chilli taste from your
mouth. We will be using Milk, water, coca cola, tasting cups and chilli.

Summary and Results:

Milk had a small effect on the chilli. After three minutes it took the whole taste away

Coke had a small effect on the chilli. Cook worked well after 3 minutes and removed the taste totally

Water did not remove the chilli taste at all. After 3 minutes it removed the taste slightly

Milk would be the most effective drink to use with spicy , chilli food

Conclusion

Milk could be a solution when eating spicy food-literally. That's because milk help your mouth handle capsaicin, an oi;y chemical in chilli peppers. Capsaicin blinds to a receptor in the tongue and creates a burning sensation... Casein protein found in milk can also bind to the capsaicin and wash it away

Australian Bush fires

Did you know that over 3 billion animals have died in the Australian bush fires?

fire burnt 72,000 kilometres of forest.

The fires costed Australia $103 million.

The fires started on June 2019 and finished around May 2020.

There were about 3,700 fire fighters needed in Australia for the fires and 75 people had died.

In a total 445 people died and 4,000 people had to go to hospital for injures and also because had breathed in to much of the smoke.

The main reason is because of globe warming, lighting and from people littering.

The wild bush fires happened in around north east of Australia.

The fires had badly effaced Australians and billions of animal lives .

People all over the world had to help out with the fires.

I learnt that billion animals lives were lost next time I would love to learn about how everybody who lost there home in the fires and how the are living now I hope you really liked my piece  on the Australian bush fires and did you learn anything from this.
